
New Delhi: While the nation celebrated the 75th year of Independence with full enthusiasm & zeal, the Rotary Club of Delhi Ananta too participated in the festivities and observed the special day with unique initiatives. The ‘green campaign’ launched by RCD Ananta on India’s 75 years of Independence marks a fresh drive towards attaining a greener & cleaner environment for all. The initiative received huge applause from the government as well as public.
The members of Royal Club of Delhi Ananta celebrated the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav at Noida’s Botanical Garden.
The RCD Ananta said in a statement, “42 Anantans including their children along with Zone 7 AG Rtn Vijay Agarwal enthusiastically gathered and hoisted the flag with Scientists and staff from BGiR.”
All the members were delighted & elated to ring in the Independence Day amid presence of a huge crowd of Anantans.
Elaborating on the unique initiative, the RCD Ananta said that the members succeeded in implementing their pledge and they planted about 300 trees on the joyous day.
Laying emphasis on the need for greener environment & cleaner planet, the organization said that the planting of trees will led the Mother Earth greener and will generate fresh hope & promise for the Generation Next.
The organization also had an emotional note for the members who couldn’t turn for the occasion.
RCD Ananta’s free bicycles gift to over 250 girl students, this year
Earlier, the Rotary Club of Delhi awarded bicycles to more than 250 girl students belonging to downtrodden & deprived class.
Kicking off its campaign in May 2022, the RCD Ananta started distributing bicycles to girl students to help realize their dream. As part of the project, it aims to hand over at least 2,200 bicycles to girl students, living in far-off & remote areas.
