Ankita Bhandari murder case: The body of 19-year old Ankita Bhandari was recovered on Saturday from the Chilla canal in Rishikesh.

New Delhi: In a latest development, Ankita Bhandari’s family have refused to perform the last rites as they demanded the handing over of the post-mortem report.

Ankita Bhandari’s brother Ajay Singh Bhandari said they won’t conduct last rites until her post-mortem report is given. He said they are waiting for the final report.

DIG PR Devi, SIT In-charge of Ankita Bhandari murder case also said that they haven’t received the proper post-mortem report, but is likely to get it today.

According to the reports, the WhatsApp chat that has come to the limelight during the investigation hints that Ankita was being pressurised to provide ‘extra service’ to the guests.

The body of 19-year old Ankita Bhandari was recovered on Saturday from the Chilla canal in Rishikesh. Following this, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami had ordered a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to be formed to probe the case.
