Ram Mandir consecration: When & where to watch LIVE telecast of historic ceremony

The grand event, which is scheduled to take place on January 22, will be graced by several big names from the sports and entertainment industry including Sachin Tendulkar, MS Dhoni & Virat Kohli

New Delhi: Ayodhya, the birthplace of Lord Rama, is just a couple of days away from witnessing the historic Pran Pratishtha (Consecration) ceremony of Ram Mandir.

The grand event, which is scheduled to take place on January 22, will be graced by several big names from the sports and entertainment industry including Sachin Tendulkar, MS Dhoni & Virat Kohli with PM Modi being the Yajman (the host) of the Red letter day.

When will consecration ceremony begin?

Although the main ceremony will start around noon and last for not more than an hour, the preparation & celebrations for the same are very likely to begin in the early hours of 22 January itself.

As the high-octane Pran Prathishtha ceremony of Ram Lalla will also be televised across major cities and towns of the country, Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra trust, which is in charge of overlooking the ceremony, has appealed to the masses to virtually join the celebrations.

Meanwhile, the central government has also declared a partial holiday on 22 January, allowing its employees to see the Pran Pratishtha ceremony without any kind of work pressure.

Where to watch Ram Mandir consecration ceremony live?

To watch the live streaming of the historic consecration ceremony at Ayodhya’s Ram Temple, you can tune into Doordarshan DD News and DD National which will telecast the entire merry event both digitally & On TV.

Besides the DD network, various other media agencies are also likely to telecast the historic ceremony on their respective Television & YouTube channels.

As per the event schedule released by Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra trust, the grand ceremony will comprise three different kinds of prayers (aartis) that will be offered to Lord Ramaon at three different times as mentioned below:

  • Shringar aarti: 6.30 am
  • Bhog aarti: 12 noon
  • Sandhya aarti: 19.30 pm

However, it is important to note here that only those devotees who will be holding a special “Aarti Pass’ will be allowed to be present in the prayer with not more than 30 pass holders being allowed to attend each of the three Aartis. Meanwhile, here’s how you can book an Aarti pass for yourself.

How to book Aarti pass?

  • First visit srjbtkshetra.org, the official site of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, and enter your phone number to get a unique OTP
  • Use the unique One time Password (OTP) to log into the site and click on Aarti section
  • Chose the category of Aarti you wish to attend and the Date & time on which it is scheduled to be held
  • Put the necessary personal details like the attendee’s name, phone number, photograph, etc.
  • If successfully allotted, collect your passes from the counter of the temple in Ayodhya & enjoy the prayers

Please also make sure to take one of the following documents with you in case you do visit the temple

  • Aadhaar Card
  • Voter ID
  • Driving license

Notably, the temple authorities will also open the doors of the temple for regular devotees just a day after the completion consecration ceremony i.e. 23 January 2024.
