Babita Mam, calling for vote to ‘educated leader’ goes viral, after Karan Sangwan

“Currently, we hold the position of having the world’s largest population. Employment should be a top priority now; only then will people’s basic needs be met. If not, do you know what will happen? When people are jobless, they won’t simply starve; they’ll resort to theft and violence.”

New Delhi: After Karan Sangwan, another tutor’s video has gone viral on social media, where she is advocating to vote for the ‘educated politician.’

Babita Mam, while taking classes in a coaching class, takes time out to give enlighten students about the pressing need for a literate leader to lead the billion-plus population.

What did Babita Mam say to her students?

She stated, “If you go to vote, then all your five years, jobs will come out, according to which recruitment will be done. The standard of schools and your colleges will be given into their hands because they’re the ones who secure jobs, they’re the ones who provide employment. They’re the ones who hold authority in schools. Everyone is like this, so, son, politics should be in the hands of educated people. It’s highly needed in India.

You know, what’s the problem? Who do we vote for when they are all the same? We used to first think that Congress was good, so we formed Congress. I’m talking about the present times. You were all born in 2004, almost the majority, aged 4 to 14. We entrusted the country to whom? To Congress. But people were disheartened with Congress. So, it shifted from fourteen to twenty-four. Whose hands is the country in? BJP. But when elections come, they’ll resort to the same old discussions.

Talks of Bofors will resurface, and discussions about Ram Mandir. They’ll bring up topics in which religion will take center stage, using corruption to accuse one another. None of them will say, ‘Empower our schools, colleges, and hospitals.’ I assure you that I’ll generate job opportunities for the people. Whether it requires collaboration with foreigners or any other action.

Currently, we hold the position of having the world’s largest population. Employment should be a top priority now; only then will people’s basic needs be met. If not, do you know what will happen? When people are jobless, they won’t simply starve; they’ll resort to theft and violence. Consider humans; have you not observed what occurs in the animal kingdom? If animals go hungry and resources are scarce…”

Karan Sangwan recently became the focus of a viral controversy when he expressed his disappointment about the replacement of colonial-era laws such as the Indian Penal Code, the Criminal Procedure Code, and the Indian Evidence Act.

A widely-shared video on X shows Sangwan expressing his disappointment over the sudden irrelevance of his criminal law-related notes and materials due to recent changes.

He stated to his students, “Even I don’t know whether to laugh or cry because I also have a lot of bare acts, caseloads, and notes that I had prepared. It is hard work for everyone. You also got a job at your hand. But keep in mind one thing. Next time vote for someone who is well-educated so you don’t have to go through this ordeal again. Elect someone who is educated, who understands things. Don’t elect someone who only knows changing names. Make your decision properly.”
