New Delhi: Days after politician turned actor Archana Gautam was allegedly manhandled by unknown people in Delhi’s Janpath area, the actress today shared an Instagram Post describing her ordeal. In the video that she posted, group of people could be seen ‘chasing’ her & her father and also allegeldy roughed them up.
The actress has accused Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi’s assistant of physically attacking her and her father.
She can be heard in the video saying, “look how these people are hitting me and my father at the Janpath road, shame on you Mahila Congress Congress Women and shame on Thakur Sandeep Singh. You asked these women to hit me and my father, have some shame.”

The actress and her father were seen asking for help in the video as they tried to escape from the mob. Both were seen pushed and being roughed up by a few people. The politician turned actress also held a press conference where she narrated the entire incident of what happened and accused the Congress Party of indulging in such an act. She also said that she would file an FIR against the act and seek legal help. She mentioned that she visited the party office that day to congratulate them on the Women’s Reservation Bill but was shocked to see what happened next. She also requested the Centre and the Congress party to give her Protection.

However, the actress received the support of many people on Social Media after she posted her ordeal. She was expelled from the party after the party received many complaints of misconduct. The actress contested from Hastinapur Constituency in the year 2022 in the U.P elections. She was also seen participating in Big Boss 16.
