Bihar minister who went viral for ”Choro ka Sardar” comment threatens to resign 

RJD leader and Bihar Agriculture Minister Sudhakar Singh threatened to resign from his post on Tuesday.

New Delhi: RJD leader and Bihar Agriculture Minister Sudhakar Singh threatened to resign from his post on Tuesday. The latest development came after he went viral on the internet for calling himself ”Choro ka Sardar”. He made the controversial comment while addressing a gathering in Kaimur on Monday.

Addressing the gathering Singh said, ”There is not a single wing of our (agriculture) dept that does not commit acts of theft. As I am the in-charge of the department, I become their Sardar (chief)…There are many more people above me.”

”I stand by what I have said. I am not amending my statement. I have nothing to say beyond that,” said Sudhakar Singh when presspersons asked questions over his comment.

He added that he was chosen by people and he would not stop fighting for them.
