New Delhi: RS Bhatti, DGP of Bihar, addresses the press and informed that the state police have arrested 109 persons in the Sasaram and Bihar Sharif violence. He added that the police are making efforts to arrest the rest of the accused.
Bihar police assured that no anti-social elements will be spared and action will be taken as per the law. DGP Bhatti acknowledged that the communal violence was an attempt to destroy peace in the state but police and district administration foiled it.

After the post-Ram Navami violence in Sasaram, the district witnessed a blast last evening. Initially, there was the burning of a few houses and stone pelting, but the situation got more tense with the news of the blast and shots being fired.
On the explosion incident, DGP RS Bhatti said that the FSL found out that it was not an attack but a few people were making bombs and it blasted due to mishandling. He said that the injured poeple will be interrogated.
One person was killed in the explosion while six were injured.

This morning, Bihar Police issued a tweet informing that 77 persons have been arrested in the Bihar Sharif violence in Nalanda and asked people to cooperate and not spread fake news. As per the police, the situation is under control in Sasaram and Nalanda.
