BJP steps up offensive over ‘Sisodia on NYT’, shares same photo in Khaleej Times & more

BJP leader Harish Khurana took to Twitter and shared the photo of New York Times (NYT) and The Khaleej Times featuring the same article. Interestingly, the author, content and photos of both the articles are exactly same.

New Delhi: The CBI raids on Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia’s residence on Friday triggered a bitter war of words between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).

Hours after AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal lamented the Centre’s ‘vindictive’ action on Delhi govt, the BJP spokespersons stepped up the heat and accused Kejriwal of engaging in propaganda machinery to win good reviews, even in foreign nations. It also mocked the Kejriwal government over similar article in the Khaleej Times and posted pictures of the paper to back its claims.

BJP leader Harish Khurana took to Twitter and shared the photo of New York Times (NYT) and The Khaleej Times featuring the same article. Interestingly, the author, content and photos of both the articles are exactly same.

“What a Vigyapanjeevi?”, taunted BJP leader in the tweet.

Many other BJP leaders also took to Twitter to ‘expose’ the tall claims made by Arvind Kejriwal regarding much-touted Delhi’s education model.

Taking a searing jibe, BJP MP Parvesh Verma said, “Congratulations to Kejriwal, he predicts in advance about the official/leader of Delhi government who will be behind bars.”

Delhi BJP spokesperson Tejinder Bagga shared a screenshot & previous article of the author, who penned this column in NYT & Khaleej Times. In the screenshot shared by Bagga, the writer Karan Deep Singh has previously written articles against BJP government in Assam & Modi at Centre.

BJP leader Kapil Mishra went a step further and claimed that the photos used in NYT article praising Delhi model was not of any government school but of a private school in Mayur Vihar.

He accused the AAP government of running ‘fake claim factories’ and going extra mile in selling these falsified claims.

Earlier in the day, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal came out in open defence of Manish Sisodia, showered lavish praise on AAP govt’s education model and also said that it was a matter of pride for the country that world’s biggest newspaper reported about education reforms in national capital and slammed the Centre for unleashing its agencies on those bringing laurels to the nation.
