New Delhi: The Uttar Pradesh Police have discovered blood stains on floor, knife and cloth which was found on sofa inside gangter turned politicial Atiq Ahmed’s partially demolished office in Chakia area of Prayagraj.

However, it is still not yet clear on whose blood stains they were.

Satyendra Prasad Tiwari, ACP, Prayagraj said that he has himself examined the place,  bloodstains have been found near the staircase & next to kitchen.

He said that the FSL team will be investigating the area and CTV footage will also be examined.

Police investigation is underway.

Atiq Ahmed and Ashraf’s murder

Atiq Ahmed and his brother Asraf was shot dead at point-blank range by three shooters on April 15 when they were being taken for medical examination in Prayagraj by a police team.

Atiq and Asraf was shor dead in the presence of police and the entire shooting was captured live on camera.

Atiq Ahmed was accused in the killing of Umesh Pal.

Umesh Pal, who was the prime witness in the murder of BSP MLA Raju Pal was killed on February 24 in Prayagraj. Following, Umesh Pal’s murder, a police case was filed against Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf, wife Shaista Parveen, his sons and several others.

The three shooters of Atiq and Ashraf were identified as Arun Maurya, Sunny Singh and Lovelesh Tiwari.

The last rites of gangster-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf was held on April 16 at a family graveyard in the Kasari Masari area in Prayagraj.

Today, the Supreme Court has agreed to list on April 28 the plea seeking to constitute an independent expert committee under the chairmanship of a former Supreme Court judge to inquire into the killing of Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf in the presence of UP Police in Prayagraj.
