Bride’s family thrashes groom for kissing her during varmala in Hapur wedding, 5 lands in Hospital

- New Delhi: A recently organized wedding ceremony in Uttar Pradesh’s Hapur took an unexpected turn after the groom romantically surprised his wife-to-be.
His little gesture of romance backfired within no time & ended up triggering a major brawl between his & his bride’s family.
Groom’s Act Triggers Bride’s Family
It all started during the Vermala ceremony when the groom decided to show his love for his future wife. Without caring about the presence of wedding guests, the couple’s families & friends, he then held his lady close and left a gentle kiss on her cheeks in Mandap
This daring act of not only left all the wedding guests shocked but also infuriated the bride’s relatives within no time.
Moments later, the groom, along with several members of his family, found themselves getting thrashed by the bride’s family who didn’t even shy away from using sticks & batons to hammer the groom & his dear ones openly.
Eventually, as the brawl escalated cops arrived on the scene & detained around 12 people for resorting to violence & causing chaos during the marriage event. The groom’s injured relatives were also rushed to a local hospital where they underwent treatment for the injuries sustained during the assault.
About the Incident
As reported by TOI, police later disclosed the deets of the incident & said that they received a call concerning the matter at around 1:30 in the morning.
In the same statement, the police also revealed that there were two wedding ceremonies scheduled at the venue & among them, the first one, which was of the elder sister, concluded peacefully without any trouble.
However, chaos unfolded during the time of the younger sisters’ wedding as people from both sides had an intense clash with one another after the groom kissed the bride.
Will Marry on Another Day
Meanwhile, according to a TOI report, neither of the parties has lodged any official complaint against each other concerning the incident and are still willing to continue with the marriage.
They have mutually decided to get the bride and groom married on a rescheduled date but the same has been not decided so far.
