Central Minister Bhagwat Karad saves unconscious lensman’s life, wins hearts on Twitter

People like Swami Ramdev, Tarun Sharma, Priti Gandhi, Yogita Bhayana, and Devendra Fadnavis took to Twitter to appreciate his gesture.

New Delhi: Union Minister of State for Finance Dr Bhagwat Kishanrao Karad won many people’s hearts for saving the life of a photographer who got fainted while covering an event in New Delhi. The incident occurred when the minister was attending an event organised by a news channel in Taj Mansingh.

Dr Karad was giving an interview at the event when a photographer fell unconscious and his pulse rate dropped to a frightening level. Dr Karad, who is also a medical practitioner (surgeon), rushed for help.

He checked his pulse rate and asked people to hold him in a particular position. He helped the photographer revive his pulse rate and also gave him sweets so that his glucose level could be increased. After 5-7 minutes, the photographer’s pulse revived and he seemed to feel better.

Seeing this, the attendees praised the minister-cum-doctor for saving the photographer’s life.

Moreover, his act of help gained praise on social media. People like Swami Ramdev, Tarun Sharma, Priti Gandhi, Yogita Bhayana, and Devendra Fadnavis took on Twitter to appreciate his gesture.

Priti Gandhi wrote, “Few months ago, Finance Minister @DrBhagwatKarad had saved the life of a co-passenger on a flight. Once again today, he successfully saved the life of a photographer who fell unconscious at the @SudarshanNewsTV Conclave by immediately providing first-aid. Great gesture, Sir!!”

As Priti Gandhi mentioned, this was not the first time when Dr Karad came to rescue. Last year in November, when he was on a flight from Delhi to mumbai, he provided primary medical assistance to a co-passenger.

He also administered an injection that was available in the aircraft’s emergency kit.

How people reacted to it?

Devendra Fadnavis called doctors the ‘devdoots’.
