Chandigarh University MMS leak incident: DCW Chief Swati Maliwa targets PWC chairperson for ‘smiling’ during presser

Massive protest  broke out on Saturday in the Chandigarh University campus after some videos of girl students taking bath in the hostel were leaked and made viral on the internet.

New Delhi: Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) chief Swati Maliwal targeted Manisha Gulati, Chairperson of Punjab State Women Commission for ‘smiling’ while addressing the ‘serious matter’.

Swati Maliwal had also expressed her concerns about the claims made by Manisha Gulati that no videos of any other girl students were recorded and made viral on social media.

Slamming Gulati for ‘smiling’ in the press conference, Swati Maliwal tweeted, “The chairperson of Punjab Women’s Commission is laughing while giving information about a serious matter like Chandigarh University? Moreover, it is being said that no video of girls was made! Women’s commissions are for the benefit of women, alas, most of the women’s commissions in the country have become just Kitty Party offices!”

After all these claims, Mohali SSP Vivek Soni said that after preliminary investigation the police have found that only one video of the accused herself was sent to the by in Mohali and there is no other video of anyone else.
