New Delhi: Punjab School Education minister HS Bains has appealed to Chandigarh University students to remain calm & assured them that the guilty won’t be spared after the video leaked incident.
This comes after Chandigarh University (CU) students held a protest last night after alleged ‘leaked objectionable videos’ of women students went viral.
Police sources said that preliminary investigation suggests that the girl was sharing videos and photos of her own with her boyfriend but others suspected her of sharing their pictures.
Huge protest broke last night at Chandigarh University in Punjab’s Mohali after the videos of hostel girls were shared online.
Meanwhile, Police have taken the accused student in custody and are questioning her.
SSP Mohali said, “It’s a matter of a video being shot by a girl student & circulated. FIR registered in the matter & accused student arrested. No death reported related to this incident. As per medical records, no attempt (to commit suicide) reported”
