New Delhi: BJP has made a remarkable comeback in Chhattisgarh. The Party was trailing in 25 seats and according to the current trends its leading in 20 seats. The key candidates in Chhatisgarh are Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel who is running from his home turf Patan, ex-Chief Minister Raman Singh who's running from Rajnandgaon, deputy Chief Minister TS Singh Deo contesting from Ambikapur and BJP's Vijay Baghel who is contesting against Bhupesh Baghel from Patan. voting for Chhattisgarh's 90-seat assembly happened in two phases on November 7 and November 17 and saw voter turnout of 78 percent and 75.88 percent respectively. The Election Commission announced that the counting of ballots for Mizoram will take place on December 4 rather than December 3, as previously planned. Beginning on November 7 and continuing until November 30, these five states conducted their elections for the state assemblies. The elections in Chhattisgarh were held in two parts, on November 7 and 17, covering 33 districts, and they were conducted across 90 assembly seats. The elections drew interest owing to the fascinating predictions that were made by exit polls. A total of 68.15 per cent of eligible voters participated in the second round of the election in the state. There was a total of 1,63,14,479 voters, with 81,41,624 males, 81,72,171 females, and 684 individuals who identified as belonging to a third gender. Vijay Baghel, Dharamlal Kaushik, Deepak Baij, Arun Sao, Renuka Singh Saruta, and Charan Das Mahant are among the 1,181 candidates vying for the position. Among them are former chief minister Dr. Raman Singh of the BJP, current chief minister Bhupesh Baghel of the Congress, and deputy chief minister TS Singh Deo of the Congress. Many organisations have forecast a tight race, with Congress now in the lead. India Today—Axis My India predicted that the Congress will win 40–50 seats and the BJP will win 36–46. With 41-53 seats compared to BJP's 36-48 seats, C-voters also favoured Congress. On the other hand, Chanakya of News 24-Today predicted a more definitive result, with the Congress party easily taking 57 seats compared to the BJP's 33.
