CM Dhami meets Amit Shah, briefs him about relief work during natural calamity

CM Dhami gave detailed information regarding the monsoon floods in different parts of the state while also stating about the safety and rescue measures taken by the government.

New Delhi: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi on September 21. Both of them talked about the natural calamities in the state while they also discussed the technological development in police. The meeting lasted for about an hour at Amit Shah’s Delhi residence.

CM Dhami gave detailed information regarding the monsoon floods in different parts of the state while also stating about the safety and rescue measures taken by the government. The meeting started at around 3 pm and they also did some deliberation on the technological advancements to provide to the state police.

Talking about the meeting, CM Dhami told that the two had a great discussion about the matter of development on Uttarakhand state. He also told that Home Miniter Amit Shah also gave assurance that the centre government is standing with the people of Uttarakhand in these dire situations and will continue to support the state.

After heavy rainfall last month, in September too Uttarakhand saw a cloud burst which affected more that 50 lives. This has become a disastrous phenomenon in the states of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh. The state was affected by continuous rains and water clogging in August and six people were killed and about 15 were reported missing due to heavy rain. Even Odisha saw a similar flash-flood-like situation and Dharamshala in Himachal Pradesh suffered from landslides last month.
