CM Gehlot gets trolled on social media for drinking holy water with mask (WATCH)

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot invited criticism on social media after he was caught on camera drinking Charanamrit (holy water) without taking off his maks.

New Delhi: Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot invited criticism on social media after he was caught on camera drinking Charanamrit (holy water) without taking off his mask. The incident was recorded at Jaisalmer temple which CM Gehlot visited on September 2.  Seeing the video, many people also mocked him on the internet for visiting the temple to play politics.

Notably, it is advisable to wear masks in public places due to COVID-19. It is reported it helps to curb the spread of the virus.

Reacting to the act, a user wrote, ”How could a CM be so lost in his own world…! Forgot to remove mask while intaking charanamrit…This is absurd…!”

”Bhai kya ho gaya toh yaar, aisa toh kaiyon ke saath hua hai. Itna kyu pagal ho gaye ho rajneeti main, ab is baat pe bjp ko vote dein kya,” commented another user in Hindi.

”Challenge to all smart people to do this without removing mask #AshokGehlot ??? Brilliant technique just like Gold from Allu factory #RahulGandhi @RubikaLiyaquat ji, pls try once and show demo on news hour,” commented a third user.

”What kind of theertha sevanam is this?,” asked a user on Twitter.
