CM pays tribute to Yugpurush Brahmalin Mahant Digvijaynath on his 54th death anniversary

The Chief Minister said that this is a new India and in this new India it is the responsibility of the people to keep pace with the leadership of the country. “For this we will have to pay attention to education. The National Education Policy is a manifesto for this. On the basis of this, we can realize our own dreams and that of the country. Mahant Digvijaynath ji was associated with the nation’s campaign not only in education, but also through politics. He formed Yogi Mahasabha to organize the scattered Nath Yogis. He worked for the upliftment of the country by joining all those movements through which the society and nation were achieving new heights”, he remarked.

Gorakhpur: Gorakshpeethadhishwar and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that a saint does not have his own personal life and is dedicated to the country and religion. Paying glowing tribute to Yugpurush Brahmalin Mahant Digvijaynath on his 54th death anniversary on Monday (Ashwin Krishna Tritiya), CM Yogi said: “The needs of the country and society are the priority of a saint. Mahant Digvijaynath ji was one such saint. He fought against the challenges of his time.”

The event was part of the weekly tribute ceremony organized to commemorate the 54th death anniversary of Yugpurush Brahmalin Mahant Digvijaynath Ji Maharaj and the 9th death anniversary of national saint Brahmalin Mahant Avedyanath Ji Maharaj.

The Chief Minister added that Mahant Digvijaynath ji belonged to the Rana clan of Mewar, Rajasthan, who dedicated his life to the motherland while fighting for the self-respect of the country. He tried to do something new for the society by getting involved in many religious and political rituals here.

Brahmalin Mahant ji laid great emphasis on education

The Chief Minister added further: “SWcientific research was conducted in the ashrams of our sages and hence demons used to attack them. Mahant Digvijaynath ji, after joining Gorakshpeeth, first laid emphasis on education and established Maharana Pratap Education Council. To imbue the young generation with nationalism, he expanded his institutions. The Education Council established by him has contributed to the establishment of a university and has established its own university. Besides, by establishing four dozen educational training institutes, it is working to prepare the young generation to tackle challenges related to the nation and society.

On this occasion, Jagadguru Ramanandacharya Dr. Rajkamal Das Vedanti Ji Maharaj said that Brahmalin Mahant Digvijaynath Ji Maharaj and Mahant Avadyanath Ji Maharaj, both were worthy gurus. Mahant Kamalnayan Das Ji Maharajfrom Ayodhya said that Brahmlin Mahant Digvijaynath ji and Brahmlin Mahant Avedyanath ji came forward and led the Ramjanmabhoomi movement. Mahant Shernath Bapu ji, who came from Junagadh, Gujarat, said that Mahant Dwayam made amazing contribution to the society through education and medicine whereas Mahant Narsingh Das Ji Maharaj, from Jabalpur, said that the day religious power will sit at the pinnacle of state power, India will become a world leader. Ji worked on all dimensions including education and health to progress the nation.

Swami Narayan Giri Ji Maharaj from Ghaziabad said” Pujya Digvijaynath Ji Maharaj spread the light in the field of education and Pujya Avedyanath Ji kept making efforts for Hindu awakening along with social harmony. Today, Digvijaynath ji is seen in the form of Yogi Adityanath who is making his dreams come true”, he pointed out. Jagatguru Swami Dineshcharya Ji Maharaj, who came from Ayodhya, said that it was difficult to describe the glory of a Guru.

Chairman of Maharana Pratap Education Council, Prof. Uday Pratap Singh said that the journey of Maharana Pratap Education Council started in 1932 and now there are about five dozen institutions, which are related to various dimensions in the field of education. In these 91 years, two universities were established by the Council. He said that Brahmalin Mahant Digvijaynath ji established it to fight the education policy of Macaulay, later the Education Council also fought against the leftist ideology. “Today we are trying to implement the new National Education Policy in an ideal form. National Saint Brahmalin Mahant Avedyanath Ji Maharaj made this Education Council blossom and flourish as per the expectations.”
