Gorakhpur: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, on Saturday, directed the officials to provide the best medical facilities to every needy. He instructed them to create Ayushman health cards for all eligible individuals.
He also directed officials to prepare an estimate of the treatment cost of those who do not have the Ayushman card and make it available to the government so that their treatment in major hospitals could be arranged.
The Chief Minister met and heard the problems of about 300 people during the Janata Darshan held outside Mahant Digvijaynath Smriti Bhawan at Gorakhnath Temple complex.
The Chief Minister instructed officials for timely, quality, and satisfactory disposal of people’s issues. He said, “Full assistance for treatment will be provided to every needy person from the Chief Minister’s Discretionary Fund.”
The Chief Minister met all the people who were seated there, listened to their problems one by one patiently and then referred their application letters to the concerned authorities. He assured them that all their troubles would be resolved.
When a woman informed the Chief Minister about her daughter’s serious illness and that she did not have the Ayushman card, he instructed the officials present to immediately admit the woman’s daughter to either SGPGI or KGMU in Lucknow for medical treatment. He directed the officials to prepare an estimate for the expenses and make it available to the government.
He also directed the officials to ensure the making of an Ayushman card for the mentioned woman.
“Prioritise making of Ayushman Health Cards of all those in need based on urgency”, he added.
During the Janata darshan, in response to complaints related to the Police and Revenue departments, the Chief Minister stated that officers at the district level should ensure the resolution of issues so that people do not face unnecessary problems. He emphasized that laxity in solving public problems would not be tolerated.
The Chief Minister highlighted that ensuring a dedicated and transparent resolution to each person’s problem is the top priority for the government and anyone found negligent would face consequences. Therefore, officials should attentively listen to people’s problems with empathy and ensure prompt, high-quality solutions, he added.
