CM Yogi reaches Uttarkhand’s Panchur to unveil his guru Mahant Avadyanath’s statue

Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday arrived in his native village Yamkeshwar, Panchur.

New Delhi: Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday arrived in his native village Yamkeshwar, Uttarakand’s Panchur on a three-day visit. During his visit, he unveiled the statue of his guru Mahant Avadyanath installed in the Mahayoig Guru Gorakhnath Government College campus located in Bithyani. It is situated about 3 km from Panchur.

Following the ceremony, CM Yogi is scheduled to meet his mother, Savitri Devi, and family members. It is reported the family of CM Yogi became excited as the son reaches the village.

CM Yogi Adityanth was welcomed by the Minister of Finance, Urban Development and Housing, Legislative and Parliamentary Affairs, Reorganisation and Census, Shri Premchand Agrawal when he reached Jolly Grant airport.

First visit of CM Yogi after his father’s death

This is CM Yogi’s first visit to his native village after his father’s death Anand Singh. Singh passed away on April 20, 2020. It is reported that he could not visit Panchur to attend the last rites of his father due to the COVID-19 infection.

However, CM Yogi is scheduled to meet his mother, Savitri Devi, and other family members.

The next day, CM Yogi will inaugurate the newly a hotel Bhagirathi hotel adjacent to Ganga Canal near NH-58 in Haridwar. It is built by the Uttar Pradesh Tourism Corporation at a cost of Rs 41 crore.

The foundation laying ceremony of the hotel was held in May 2018. At that time, CM Yogi had come to lay the foundation stone after becoming the CM of the state in 2017.

The hotel has a capacity of 100 rooms.
