CM Yogi starts special cleanliness & service ritual at Gorakhnath Temple Complex to make Khichdi Fair a zero-waste event

It is worth mentioning here that the Gorakhnath Temple is witnessing a surge of devotees due to the famous Khichdi Fair held on the occasion of Makar Sankranti

Gorakhpur: Gorakshpeethadhishwar and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday started a special cleanliness & service ritual at Gorakhnath Temple Complex to make Khichdi Fair a zero-waste event as well as serve the devotees visiting the temple.

Prior to departing for Ayodhya to launch the state-wide Cleanliness Campaign, CM Yogi inaugurated the Gorakhpur Municipal Corporation’s temporary camp office at the temple complex, the RRR Centre and the automatic vending machine installed by the GMC Corporation to provide cloth bags to keep the fair plastic-free.

CM Yogi also flagged off GMC’s sanitation vehicles on the occasion. Furthermore, the Chief Minister distributed woolen clothes, shawls and blankets to the needy people and served the Prasad of Khichdi to children and blessed them.

It is worth mentioning here that the Gorakhnath Temple is witnessing a surge of devotees due to the famous Khichdi Fair held on the occasion of Makar Sankranti.

On this occasion, Mayor Dr. Manglesh Srivastava, Municipal Commissioner Gaurav Singh Sogarwal and several other officials were present.
