1. Districts in Jammu and Kashmir
Districts like Srinagar, Anantnag, Kupwara, and Baramullah are experiencing a temperature of 3 degrees Celcius during the afternoon. The minimum temperature as per the forecast is -11 degrees Celcius. As per the forecast, Jammu and Kashmir is the coldest state today.
2. Gangtok, Sikkim
Gangtok is experiencing -1 degree Celcius this afternoon, while the forecast did not expect the temperature to go below zero degrees. It is currently the coldest place in India. The temperature is expected to improve later in the afternoon and can go up to 12 degrees Celcius.
3. Cities in Punjab
Amritsar, Barnala, Firozpur, and other cities in Punjab are currently experiencing a temperature of 8-10 degrees Celcius. the temperature in these cities is expected to go down to 2 degrees Celcius. The fog and the lack of visibility are the main issues in Punjab.
4. Cities in Uttar Pradesh
Akbarpur, Kanpur, Badaun, Bareilly, and some other cities in Uttar Pradesh have a temperature of 12-13 degrees Celcius this afternoon. The minimum temperature in UP can go below 7 degrees Celcius.
5. Haryana and New Delhi
Cities like Gurugram in Haryana and New Delhi are experiencing 15-16 degrees Celcius currently, while the minimum temperature is expected to go down to 7 degrees Celcius. Meanwhile, Karnal and cities have 10 degrees Celcius and the minimum temperature is forecasted to be 4 degrees Celcius.
