New Delhi: In a shocking incident, an International Kabbadi player Sandeep Singh Nangal was killed in a Malian village of Punjab’s Jalandhar on Monday. The video of the incident is also going viral on social media. It is reported that Sandeep was attending a local Kabaddi tournament before being shot.
The tragic incident happened just four days after Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Adami Party (AAP) came to power in the state. The AAP won 92 seats out of 117 assembly seats in the 2022 Punjab election.
Succumbed to 20 rounds of fire
Sandeep Singh Nangal was from Ambiyan village and always loved to motivate young players of Kabaddi. According to the preliminary reports, unidentified assailants fired around 20 rounds of bullets at Sandeep’s head and chest.
In the disturbing video, one can listen series of bullet fires. Spectators of the tournament was also seen fleeing the spot after listening to fires. It is being alleged that there has been some trouble with the major league Kabaddi federation or maybe with the clubs.
