New Delhi: In a surprising development, Delhi Health Minsiter Satyendra Jain was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Monday over money laundering charges.
Satyendra Jain is a senior minister in the Arvind Kejriwal government and holds multiple portfolios. He was also the minister in first tenure of AAP government in Delhi.
The AAP minister’s arrest is bound to stir up a big political storm with AAP claiming it to be vendetta politics against it.
BJP IT cell in-charge Amit Malviya speaking to a news channel said that law was taking its course and there was no influence on investigative agencies as claimed by the AAP members.
He also said that the AAP leader was under the scanner of agencies for previous dubious financial transactions.
Just days ago, the Punjab health minister Vijay Singla was arrested by the agencies over bribery charges and subsequently sacked by the Chief Minsiter Bhagwant Mann.
