Delhi Kanjhawala Incident: All the five accused has been arrested.

New Delhi: A day after a 20-year-old woman was killed after her scooty was allegedly hit by a car and she was dragged for a few kilometres on Sunday in Kanjhawala area, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal called the incident “very shameful.”

Reacting to this heart-wrenching incident, CM said he hopes that the culprits will be punished severely.

Reacting to the incident, Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena tweeted that he was shocked at the “monstrous insensitivity of the perpetrators”.

Five people arrested in the Kanjhawala incident

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outer District) Harendra K Singh on Monday said five people have been arrested in the Kanjhawala incident.

Police informed the postmortem of the deceased woman will be conducted through a board of doctors.

Police said a 20-year-old woman was killed after she was hit by a car and then dragged for a few kilometres on the road after being entangled in the wheels on Sunday.

Police also said the condition of the girl after the incident was so bad that after being dragged on for a few kms, her clothes got ripped off.

The naked body of the woman was found on Sunday morning in Delhi’s Kanjhawala area.

After this the body of the girl was sent to the SGM hospital, Mangolpuri, where she was declared brought dead.

Meanwhile, the body of the woman has been kept further at the mortuary of the hospital for postmortem.

Following the incident, the Delhi Commission of Women (DCW) chief Swati Maliwal has also taken cognisance of the matter and has issued notice to the Delhi police.
