Reports suggest that the LG Saxena has also granted sanction to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to prosecute a sub-registrar for allegedly regularizing unauthorized construction in Karol Bagh.

The LG is also said to be vetting complaints of corruption against officials of Delhi government and the Delhi Development Authority (DDA).

Delhi LG - VK Saxena - Kejriwal

Last week, the L-G recommended CBI probe into Arvind Kejriwal government’s Excise Policy 2021-22 over alleged violations and procedural lapses. His recommendation of CBI probe came on the back of a report by Delhi Chief Secretary, which claimed that the Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia, heading the Excise Department, provided undue benefits to the liquor barons.

The new Excise policy of Delhi government was implemented in the national capital from November 17 last year.
