New Delhi: A clash between BJP and AAP councillors in the House broke out again on February 24. A councillor collapses at Delhi Civic Centre as the ruckus continued. There are reports of councillors jostling and manhandling each other on the third day of commotions in the House.

Ashok Kumar Maanu, an AAP Councillor, was the one who collapsed during the clash. He appeared before the media along with other councillors of his party and said that BJP’s goons did this to him and alleged that they even attacked women and the newly elected Mayor Shelly Oberoi.

Shelly, on February 23 too, alleged that BJP councillors attacked her during the ruckus.

AAP leader Atishi alleged BJP of ‘goondaism’ and said that when counting started BJP realised they were losing, so they created a ruckus. She asked BJP to accept their defeat and said that the councillors who attacked the Mayor will be sent behind the bars.

Meanwhile, BJP’s Harish Khurana said that the election officers declared the election and say that the votes declared invalid by Mayor are valid and three candidates each of AAP & BJP have won. He alleged that AAP did ‘hooliganism’ on CM Arvind Kejriwal’s instructions and said that they will approach the Court.

BJP councillors alleged tampering with the result and said that they are lodging an FIR in the case. BJP ‘s Meenakshi Sharma alleged that someone from AAP hit her with a sharp object and touched her neck. She added that the Mayor acts on orders from Kejriwal.
