Delhi Police recovers hand grenade from house at Bhalswa Dairy after interrogating Jagjit Singh, Naushad

The raid was conducted following the questioning of Naushad and Jagjit Singh, who were previously arrested under UAPA.

New Delhi: Delhi Police Special Cell recovered a hand grenade from a house at Bhalswa Dairy last night. The raid was conducted following the questioning of Naushad and Jagjit Singh, who were previously arrested under UAPA. The FSL team also collected some blood samples from the site.

As per ANI, Jagjit Singh was connected to Khalistani terrorist Arshdeep Dalla, while Naushad is said to be affiliated with the terrorist organisation Harkat ul-Ansar. Naushad was out of jail after serving for double murder. Jagjit and Naushad were sent to 14-day police custody on January 13 by the Patiala House Court.

The raid lasted for two to three hours and along with the grenade, police also recovered three pistols and 22 cartridges. It is said that they were planning a big attack on the national capital before January 26.

Jagjit and Naushad were caught in Jahangirpuri and the police will continue to interrogate them for more information. It is suspected that they killed someone in that house and shared the video with their handler.

Police personnel reached Bhalswa Dairy in large numbers to conduct the raids, while the locals thought it to be a murder case. Later on, it was cleared that police were conducting the raids in connection to the two suspects arrested in Jahangirpuri for ‘unlawful activities’. As per the neighbours, they took the place for rent and bought a refrigerator, just to return it around a week later.

The police suspect that they used the refrigerator to keep the dead body.
