Delhi riots: These viral WhatsApp chats ‘expose’ the conspiracy behind violence

Delhi Police chargesheet said “key conspirators” arranged buses, manpower including around 300 women to execute “pan-Delhi protests” against CAA. These WhatsApp chats further expose the conspiracy.

New Delhi: The Special Cell of Delhi Police on Monday filed chargesheet against 15 accused for the communal violence that broke out in North-East Delhi in February.

In its chargesheet, police said the “key conspirators” arranged buses, manpower including around 300 women, and logistics to execute “pan-Delhi protests” against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act.

The accused persons decided in a meeting held at Chand Bagh on the midnight of February 16-17 to execute these protests “in North-East, Shahdara, South Districts, with the areas of Chand Bagh and Jafrabad as the initial hotspots,” the agency said.

The police have mentioned names of persons who attended these meeting and were later arrested in cases related to the riots.

Now, a social media account by name of Team Bharat has made fresh revelations which further exposes the role of conspirators. Team Bharat has shared screenshot of WhatsApp chats which allegedly took place between the conspirators before the riots broke out.

Though Delhi Police hasn’t yet verified these claims but these screenshots of WhatsApp chats shared by Team Bharat are enough to send alarm bells ringing.

Team Bharat has made several claims. It says the communal riots was not the handiwork of locals but it was a rather a result of deeper conspiracy and planning.

On Safoora Zargar, it says “Why Safoora Zargar participated actively in such groups? Athar Khan a resident of Chand Bagh and member of DPSG Whatsapp Chat group had organized a meeting of all protest site leaders of North-East in the night intervening of 16th & 17th Feb. 2020.”

It says when a person named Owais Sultan opposed the sinister design, he was opposed and silenced in the WhatsApp group.
