New Delhi: In a shocking development, the Delhi Police on Wednesday morning recovered dismembered body of a woman, found lying near the Geeta Colony flyover.

The chopped body parts of the unidentified woman was found, adjacent to the city’s Geeta colony flyover, police told mediapersons.

The police got information about the incident at around 9.15 am this morning and soon a team was rushed to the spot. A team of Delhi police is at the spot and investigating into what appears to be a cold-blooded murder.

Shockingly, the woman’s body parts were scattered across the flyover and the police team had to collect them from the vicinity.

The police team has launched investigation into the incident and is currently searching nearby forest areas to recover the remaining body parts.

A leading portal, quoting Director General of Police of North Delhi, reported that the woman’s body parts were strewn at different places near the flyover in Jammuna Khadar area. He said that the first assessment showed that the woman could be in her late thirties. Forensic teams are examining the mutilated parts while a police team has launched probe into the gruesome incident.

The Delhi shocker comes days after a similar incident rocked Mira Road area of Mumbai. Live-in partner had cut the victim Saraswati Vadiya into dozens of pieces and stored in buckets & vessels of his kitchen. The matter came to light when his neighbours complained of stench & foul smell from his flat and police broke into his locked house.
