‘Distressed by the accident…’: PM Modi prays for cricketer Rishabh Pant’s recovery

After performing the last rites of Heeraben Modi, PM returned to work and also took out time to share his prayers for the wicketkeeper-batter.

New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi, in a tweet, shared his prayers for cricketer Rishabh Pant. Pant met with a brutal accident this morning and is hospitalised, while PM Modi lost his mother today. After performing the last rites of Heeraben Modi, PM returned to work and also took out time to share his prayers for the wicketkeeper-batter.

He wrote that he is ‘distressed’ by the news of the accident and he prays for the good health and well-being of Rishabh Pant.

Rishabh Pant met with an accident while driving from Delhi to Roorkee this morning. His car collided with a divider on the Narsan border of Roorkee near Hammadpur Jhal in Uttarakhand and as per the police, the cricketer fell asleep while driving which led to the accident. He has been admitted to a hospital in Dehradun after getting injuries on his back, forehead and leg.

As per Dr. Ashish Yagnik of Max Hospital, Risabh is currently under the observation of Orthopedics and plastic surgeons and his condition is stable.

He was alone in the car at the time of the accident and the pictures show his car completely burned. The cricket fraternity, celebs and fans are wishing for his speedy recovery.

On the other hand, PM Modi lost his mother Heeraben Modi at the age of 100. He reached his mother’s residence and carried her mortal remains to the crematorium. PM Modi performed her last rites in Gandhinagar.
