Divya Utsav celebrates Day 1 with distinguished guests and inspirational achievements

New Delhi: 4th December 2023* – The inaugural day of Divya Utsav witnessed a momentous occasion with the esteemed presence of Honorable Dr. Virendar kumar, The union cabinet minister of social justice and  empowerment, government of India, who o inaugurated the event.

Dr. Kumar addressed the audience, emphasizing the crucial theme of inclusivity in society, asserting its pivotal role in achieving collective goals.

A noteworthy highlight was the Honorable Minister’s unveiling of the special divyang riders, who successfully completed a remarkable 5500-kilometer journey in retrofitted scooties earning them a place in the Genius Book of World Records.

This groundbreaking approach allowed individuals to perceive the art with their intuitive senses, creating a truly inclusive experience with the help of Cure India this could be achieved.

Chitranjan Triphathee, Director of the National School of Drama, delivered a captivating accessible performance, catering to both visually challenged and hearing-impaired individuals based on poem by former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

The performance left the audience in awe and exemplified the power of inclusive arts.

Ranjan Mukharjee state Disable commissioner Delhi and Rajesh Agarwal, the Secretary of Social Justice and Empowerment of the Indian government, provided motivation and inspiration to students present at the event. Their encouraging words resonated, reinforcing the importance of social inclusion and empowerment.

The cultural performance by Hrdya Sara added a touch of motivation, as the costumes were creatively designed by the autistic children themselves. The event also featured Tejasvi’s mesmerizing yoga performance, despite his disability, and delivering empowering words to disabled students and caregivers alike. Tejasvi emphasized the importance of focusing on individuals’ abilities rather than disabilities.
