New Delhi: Hours before Shraddha Walkar was allegedly killed by her live-in-partner Aftab Amin Poonawala, she had sent a message to her friends on Instagram and now the screenshot of her conversation has surfaced online.

In the message, Shraddha wrote, “Dude, I’ve got the news. I got super busy with something.”

Following this, her friend asked her “What’s the news?” 6.29 pm on May 18 but Shraddha didn’t respond and never replied.

Her friend message her again on September 24 to inquire about her whereabouts and safety.

He wrote, “Where the hell are you? Are you safe?”

His message was marked read, which means the Instagram account of Shraddha Walkar was accessed by Aftab but he never replied.

Shraddha Walkar was strangled and chopped into pieces by Aftab Poonawala after a fight. He later stored those chopped body parts in a refrigerator and later disposed them of in different parts of the city.

Earlier, a complaint from Shraddha which she had written to the police was recovered in which she mentioned Aftab blackmailing her and warning her that he would cut her and chop her body and throw her away.

She had complained about Aftab in a letter in 2020. Shraddha had also claimed in the letter that Aftab’s family knew about him beating her and blackmailing her.

She also alleged that if action is not taken then she may be harmed.

Tulini Police have also confirmed that Shraddha had written a complaint on November 23, 2020.

The accused also accepted in the Delhi court that he murdered his girlfriend in the “heat of the moment”.
