Dwarka Acid Attack: Accused purchased acid from Flipkart to attack the 17-year-old girl, 3 arrested

New Delhi: In the horrifying acid attack in Delhi’s Dwarka Mor it has been revealed that the bike men who allegedly threw acid on a 17-year-old schoolgirl purchased the chemical online on Flipkart and made the payment through an e-wallet.

After the police investigation, three men were arrested for planning the attack on the 17-year-old girl.

According to Delhi Police, the accused who threw the acid at the girl left his phone with a friend for a location alibi.

The three men have been identified as Sachin Arora (20) and his two associates Harshit Aggarwal (19) and Virender Singh (22).

The main accused has been identified as Sachin Arora, and his friend allegedly attacked the girl with the acid minutes after she left her west Delhi home for school on Wednesday morning.

The victim was with her younger sister when the incident took place at Mohan Garden near Uttam Nagar.

However, the whole incident was captured on a CCTV camera.

Police have also arrested the victim’s neighbour and friend.

Victim’s break-up with the accused:

According to police, the main accused and the victim was in a relationship earlier but the 17-year-old had stopped talking to him a few months ago.

Addressing a media briefing, Sagar Preet Hooda, Special Commissioner of Police, Law and Order, Zone-II said after the girl stopped talking to him, he attacked her with acid to take revenge.

He further said the victim and the accused were on friendly terms till September 2022.

Victim’s condition:

The girl is currently undergoing treatment in the Safdarjung Hospital’s burn ICU, she has suffered eight per cent facial burn injuries and her eyes have also been affected.
