Explosion at Udaipur-Ahmedabad railway track; Jaipur ATS initiates action 

An explosion occurred at the Udaipur-Ahmedabad railway track in Rajasthan on Sunday.

New Delhi: An explosion occurred at the Udaipur-Ahmedabad railway track in Rajasthan on Sunday. After the security officials reached the spot, they recovered the detonator and dynamite. Soon after the incident, a team of Jaipur ATS initiated the action. It is reported that the terror angle will also be investigated.

The Udaipur-Ahmedabad track, where the explosion was planted, was inaugurated 13 days ago by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. After the explosion, the transition of trains on the route has been stopped due to security reasons. The locals said, they hear the sound of blasts at night on Saturday.

At the spot, they found the track got some cracks and dynamite used in the explosion.

Track to be opened after completing the repair work

The train service will be resumed on the route after the tracks will be restored. Every evening at 5 PM, the train Udaipur-Asarva runs on the track and reaches Asarva at 11 PM. Another train from Asarva to Udaipur starts at 6:30 morning and reaches Udaipur city at 12:30.

”There was an explosion on a track about 35 km away from Udaipur. Teams of ATS, NIA & Railway’s RPF are on site. Investigation is underway. The accused will be severely punished. The team to restore the bridge is ready on the site,” said the Railway Minister, Ashwini Vaishnaw.
