New Delhi: A day after a report claiming that Pakistani parents are guarding the graves of their dead daughters by placing padlocks against necrophilia has gone viral, now this news has been contradicted by a fact-checking site.
The news and a pictures went viral after the Daily Times quoted a tweet by ex-Muslim atheist activist, Harris Sultan, who is also the author of the book “The Curse of God, why I left Islam” blamed hardline Islamist ideology for such depraved acts.
He had shared a picture of a grave with a padlock in his Tweet and accused the Pakistan of creating a “sexually frustrated society.”
Pakistan has created such a horny, sexually frustrated society that people are now putting padlocks on the graves of their daughters to prevent them from getting raped.

Following which Alt News fact-checker Mohammed Zubair shared the exact reason behind putting the grills above the grave.
After being contacted about the same, and Harris Sultan deleted his Tweet.
On being informed about the image of this grave being circulated with the claim that it is from Pakistan, Muqtar Sahab refuted it and added that the grille was constructed also with a view to preventing people from stamping on the grave since it was right in front of the entrance

During the fact check it was found that this picture was not really from Pakistan but from India’s Hyderabad.
This graveyard adjacent to Jama Masjid Salar-ul-Mulk, Madannapet, Hyderabad.
According to the caretaker of the graveyard, the reson behind placing the grill and locking it is to prevent the reuse of the grave.
