First Krishi Kumbh of Yogi 2.0 will be held in November

This is the first Krishi Kumbh of Yogi 2.0. Prior to this, Krishi Kumbh for the first time was organized in 2018 of Yogi 1.0, at the Indian Sugarcane Research Institute, Lucknow from October 25 to 28. This time also the venue will be the same.

Lucknow: To make the “Lab to Land” slogan a reality, the Uttar Pradesh government led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is going to organize Krishi Kumbh in November this year. Prime Minister Narendra Modi may inaugurate the proposed Krishi Kumbh to be held on a global scale in Lucknow.

Opportunity for entrepreneurs and farmers

Along with farmers, Krishi Kumbh will also prove to be a great opportunity for companies making agricultural equipment. They will get the chance to make live demonstrations of their technologies, products and promotions in front of buyers.

All departments related to agriculture will participate

In this Kumbh, all the farming and agriculture related departments will set up stalls and display their schemes. Along with this, live demonstrations of the work done for the betterment of agriculture which includes animal husbandry, sugarcane, silk, fisheries, horticulture, UP Bhumi Sudhar Nigam etc will take place.

Focus on these topics

In Krishi Kumbh focus will be on crop diversification, organic farming, ground water conservation, fruit and flower cultivation, hydroponics, vertical garden, cultivation of medicinal plants. In addition information will be given about advanced methods of animal husbandry, poultry, pheasant, quail, goat rearing, duck rearing with fish, water chestnut and makhana farming, fish farming for decoration, sericulture, barren land improvement, agroforestry, etc.

Workshops will be held on important topics

A series of workshops on important topics will also be held during the Kumbh. Apart from the auditorium of the institute, there will be three separate auditoriums to host the events at the venue. The selection of subjects and panel experts for different sessions will be made by the Uttar Pradesh Agricultural Research Council.

The topics proposed will be cow-based natural farming, utilization of coarse grains, role of Farmer Producer Organization (FPO) in agriculture sector, digital farming, startups in agriculture sector, benefits of agricultural mechanization, post harvest management. Apart from this, MoUs will also be signed with some companies and institutions.

Surya Pratap Shahi, Agriculture Minister of Uttar Pradesh said, “Through the International Krishi Kumbh, the farmers of the state will be aware of the world-class techniques. Some of progressive and innovative farmers will demonstrate the modern techniques used by them for innovative farming in order to inspire other farmers to devise ways to enhance their income. This is the intention of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and all of us. This is also the purpose of the event.”
