New Delhi:  In view of a sudden surge of COVID cases in different countries, the Indian Medical Association has alerted and appealed to the public to follow COVID appropriate behaviour with immediate effect.

According to the available reports, nearly 5.37 lakhs new cases have been reported in the last 24 hours from major countries like the USA, Japan, South Korea, France, and Brazil.

In the last 24 hours, India reported 145 new covid cases out of which four cases are the new China variant-BF.7.

The Indian Medical Association has also issued an advisory for the public.

The top doctor’s body has advised the public to  follow some necessary steps to overcome the impending outbreak:

# Use of masks in all public places

# Maintain social distancing

# Washing hands regularly and making use of sanitizers

# Avoid public gatherings like marriages and political or social meetings.

# Try avoiding International travel

# Consult a doctor in case of any symptoms like fever, cold, cough, loose motion, etc.

# Take covid19 vaccination and also precautionary dose.
