New Delhi: Former Telangana Chief Minister NT Rama Rao’s daughter Uma Maheshwari was found hanging at her residence in Hyderabad on Monday. The city police registered a case under section 174 CrPC and launched a further probe into the case. The police are investigating both angles — suicide and murder.
The body of UMA Maheshwari has been shifted to a local government hospital for postmortem. However, the primary cause of the death will only be clarified after the postmortem will be completed.

Meanwhile, senior leaders Chandrababu Naidu, Bakakrishna, Nara Lokesh and other family members reached her house. It is reported that Umamaheswari was suffering from mental tensions and health issues, that led to suicide.
Who is N.T. Rama Rao?
N.T. Rama Rao was born on 9 January 1983 and passed away on August 16, 1984. Rao served as the Chief Minister of undivided Andhra Pradesh three times in seven years. He also founded the Telugu Desam Party on March 29, 1982. . It is currently being led by N. Chandrababu Naidu.
He reportedly starred in over 300 films and mostly in Telugu cinema. In the Hindi language, he is known for portraying the role of Hindu deities, especially Krishna, Karna and Rama.
