New Delhi: An HDFC bank employee Sindhura, her husband Prathap, her 4-year-old daughter and her mother-in-law committed suicide at their residence in Tharnaka, Hyderabad on January 16. The painful accident took place in the Osmania University police station area. The financial crisis is being speculated to be the reason for the suicide.
As per the police, the family members living in the Rupali Apartments were found dead in their house. Despite the festival of Sankranti yesterday, the house remained closed, which made the local people suspicious and they informed the police about the matter. The police reached the spot and found the couple, a woman and a four-year-old girl dead in the flat.
The little girl has been identified as Adya and the mother-in-law as Rajti.
The police revealed that Pratap worked in a BMW car showroom, while Sindhura was a manager in a private bank in Himayatnagar.
Police have registered a case and an investigation into what seems to prima facie be a suicide is going on. Hyderabad police said that they received a complaint through dial 100 about four members of the same family committing suicide. Police have also cited that some domestic issues might be the reason for the suicide.
Police Inspector Ramesh of Osmania University said that the police have registered a case and are searching for more details. The four bodies were taken to the Gandhi mortuary. He added that a preliminary investigation has revealed that this incident took place due to discord in the family and a financial crisis.
