Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal while addressing a Jan Samvad in the village Pratap Nagar (Khizrabad) at Yamunanagar today said that the state government has worked to provide relief to the public from an environment of fear, corruption, and discrimination while making radical changes in the system of the state.
“Our government has worked for the welfare of every class, including farmers, labourers, the poor, and the needy. The energy we receive from the dedication towards Haryana constantly motivates us to work for the state’s progress and to serve the public,” said Sh. Manohar Lal.
Upon arrival at the event, the Chief Minister inspected products prepared by women of the Self-Help Groups and distributed bicycles provided by the Red Cross Society.
Sh. Manohar Lal stated that the government has worked to provide the benefit of various schemes, including elderly pensions, to people through the PPP via online methods, allowing people to avail themselves of benefits from the comfort of their homes. During the Samvad, the Chief Minister also gifted pension certificates to 11 elderly, namely Leela Devi, Phool Chand, Dilshad, Sunita, Shakila, Noor, Amarnath, Chaman Lal, Anil, Rajender, and Rubal Kumar.
Pratap Nagar got various projects, including a special bus service for female students
During the Samvad, the Chief Minister announced various developmental gifts for Pratap Nagar, including a park and gym worth Rs. 40 lakh on 2 acres, the launch of a special bus service for female students from Pratap Nagar to Jagadhari, laying of sewerage pipelines similar to the city in the village Pratap Nagar, construction work of two roads from Pratap Nagar to the villages etc. He also announced a grant of Rs. 500,000 from his discretionary fund to the Avesta Foundation.
CM recalls his time and friends during his visit to Pratap Nagar
Sh. Manohar Lal recalled and acknowledged his experiences, stories, and old friends during the Samvad, relating to the six years spent in Pipili Majra in 1984. Based on a complaint by a woman from Pipili Majra, orders were issued to provide employment under MGNREGA to her husband. start a bus service from Yamunanagar to Bania Wala, complete formalities in the Tibbi village for establishing a sports nursery and providing coaches, and resolve mining-related issues for the businessmen.
The Chief Minister also gifted chocolates, shawls, and books of great personalities to Anshika, Vanshika, and Ashu Ahmad on their birthdays among 13 individuals from the village.
“The government has provided treatment facilities up to Rs. 500,000 for the poor through the Ayushman and Chirayu schemes. The benefit of this scheme reached 318 people in Pratap Nagar, and the government spent Rs. 5.5 lakh on their treatment,’ said Sh. Manohar Lal.
He appealed to the citizens, saying that families with incomes exceeding Rs. 180,000 should not avail of free rations based on ethical grounds so that other eligible families can benefit from the free ration scheme.
School Education and Forest Minister, Sh. Kanwar Pal, while arriving at the Jan Samvad, welcomed the Chief Minister and lauded his efforts for the development works done in the yamunanagar.
Deputy Commissioner Captain Manoj Kumar and other officers were present.
