Ghaziabad police: Doctor hatches plot for publicity; ‘sar tan se juda’ threat is fake

New Delhi: In the latest development in a death threats case to a doctor in Ghaziabad, the UP police found in its investigation that the victim doctor is himself responsible for the threats. The police investigation revealed that the doctor did this to gain popularity. The latest development came five days after the doctor complained about a threat call received from a USA-based number on Whatsapp for supporting Hindu organisations.

In a press note, the Ghaziabad police said that Dr Arvind Vats made the base to a previous internet call to his patient to claim it was a threat call.

Sharing the ordeal to the police, Vats said, ”The caller told home neither Prime Minister Modi nor Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath can save you. We have done a rece.”

In his complaint to the police, the doctor said that he received the call for the first from a USA-based number on September 1. However, he could not attend the call as he was asleep.

Later, he got the second call on September 7 from the same number when the caller threatened him of dire consequences.

The police have now launched action against the doctor to give false information. The investigation in the case involved 13 cops.
