Ghaziabad: Ruffians run amok in Crossing Republik society, clash with residents; CCTV captures footage [WATCH]

The victims alleged that Om Prakash used his licensed weapon during the conflict and fled from the spot after thrashing society members

New Delhi: After Noida, yet another case of assault against residents of a private society, that are considered to be safer in terms of security has occurred in the national capital region on Wednesday.

The society members were thrashed by a group of goons in the Crossing Republik society situated in the Ghaziabad district of Uttar Pradesh.

As per the initial information, Om Prakash, himself residing in the same society of Thana Vijaynagar area, beat up other residents along with his associates.

The victims alleged that Om Prakash used his licensed weapon during the conflict and fled from the spot after thrashing society members at gunpoint.

The matter began when Omprakash and others from his group started misbehaving with the Election Officer of the society and used foul language with him, and accelerated when residents gathered up to oppose their conduct.

When asked to leave the society premises, Prakash and his associates clashed with the residents, video of which was captured on a CCTV camera installed inside the residential area.

Several society members suffered minor injuries in this incident, after which it was reported to the local police. On the basis of the footage, the administration have already arrested the main accused Om Prakash and 3 other accused.

 

A senior official told the media that they are looking for the suspects in the matter, and the case has been investigation from every possible aspectsby the police.
