Harward University or ‘Hayward’: Trollers poke fun at CM Mann’s slip of tongue… WATCH

This gave netizens an opportunity to take jibes at the Chief Minister. As the video landed on social media, CM Mann’s slip of the tongue was trolled by many users, with many sharing memes while others equating his reference to a beer brand.

In the video that went viral, the Punjab CM can be heard saying that teachers of Punjab schools would be sent to foreign varsities like Oxford, ‘And Hayward’ among others for professional training. He also states that the state government will bear the expense of teachers traveling abroad for training.

Imparting quality education to students and world-class training for teachers is one of the hallmarks of the AAP government. Like Delhi, similar practices will be implemented in Punjab and this is what the Punjab CM was referring to.

Mann said that similar to Delhi, Punjab will send their teachers to pursue training abroad.

“Just like the Delhi government, principals, vice-principals, and headmasters will be sent abroad for training. The educators will be sent in batches of 70-100 to Switzerland, Finland, Singapore, and top universities such as Oxford and ‘Hayward’ for professional training at the cost of the government”, Mann was heard saying.

As Bhagwant Mann mispronounced Harward as Haywards, it left the social media delighted & overjoyed. Lot many users noted his gaffe and poked fun at the CM.

Many said that it was actually Haywards but Haywards 5000. Haywards 5000 is a famous beer brand in India.

Bhagwant Mann has been in the news previously, for alleged alcoholism. Last month, the Shriomani Gurudwara Prabhandhak Committee (SGPC) had alleged that Bhagwant Mann had entered a famous Sikh shrine in an inebriated condition.
