New Delhi: Exit polls in Himachal Pradesh have shown a neck-to-neck battle between Congress and Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) with the victory going into Congress’ pocket. The exit poll has shown that Congress is winning 30-40 seats in Assembly elections while BJP getting 24-34 seats.
As the counting for 82 seats was completed, Congress Party won 40 seats and BJP 25 seats and others won 3 seats.

Congress has won the elections quite convincingly with 40 seats in their pocket, while BJP has won 25 seats. Aam Aadmi Party, despite their promises and claims, could not open their account and independent candidates won three seats.

Axis My India’s exit polls showed a close battle between the leading parties in Himachal Pradesh. While they have still gone with the trend of changing governments and have favoured Congress a bit. On the other hand, Aam Admi Party was predicted to get no seats with only a 2% vote share while others getting 4-8 seats. The exit polls proved to be quite competent as the results were well within the range.

Himachal Pradesh Assembly Elections Result 2017
BJP formed the government by winning in 44 constituencies while Congress got just 20 seats in the last elections. In the 2017 elections, CPI (M) won a seat and others won one while AAP was not in the scene.
Exit Polls 2017
The exit polls predicted an easy win for BJP and that was what happened. The prediction said that BJP will get an average of 47 seats while Congress was predicted to win an average of 20 seats. The exit polls predicted it right and with a deviation of 2-3 seats, they can be called as accurate exit polls.
