How parties are performing in 5 states: A look at official vote percentage

According to the party-wise vote share percentage released by the election commission, BJP has emerged as the largest party in four states except for Punjab. 

New Delhi: The Election Commission of India 0n Thursday announced the results of five states assembly elections. The five states are Uttar Pradesh, Goa, Punjab, Uttarkhand, Manipur. Among the five states, BJP has emerged as the largest party in four states.

The EC also released the party-wise vote share percentage. Below here, we have explained the percentage to give you a clear picture of people’s moods.

Vote Share percentage of Uttar Pradesh

In Uttar Pradesh, the BJP got 42.3%, followed by Akhilesh Yadav-led SP (31.6%) and BSP (12.8%).

Vote Share percentage of Uttarkhand

In Uttarakhand, the BJP secured 44% of votes, followed by Congress (39.3%) and BSP (4.3%).

Vote Share percentage of Punjab

For the first time, Aam Aadmi Party surpassed all the parties to get 42.3% of total votes. In Punjab, AAP is followed by Congress (23.1%) and BSP (17.8%).

Vote Share percentage of Goa

In the coastal state of Goa, BJP got 33% of the total vote share while Congress received 22.8% votes. Of the total vote shares 19.5% votes went to others.

Vote Share percentage of Manipur

In Manipur, the counting of votes is still going on. So far, BJP received over 37% of votes, followed by the Congress (16.5%). The results show BJP is again coming to power in the state.
