New Delhi: In a shocking incident, four women in burqa was seen stealing lehengas worth several thousand from a clothing shop located on Town Hall Road in the heart of the city.

The incident was caught in the CCTV and has now gone viral on social media.

In the video, the women in the burqa can be seen entering the shop to buy clothes for children and elders. The women’s kept on asking the shopkeeper to show the clothes.  It was during this time period that the women took advantage when the worker inside the shop kept going inside to bring the clothes of their demand, the women kept stole two lehengas worth eight and a half thousand in the bag they had carried along with them.

Soon after keeping the lehenga inside, the women left the shop saying that they did not like the clothes.

However, the incident came to limelight only after the shopkeeper found the lehenga boxes empty after a long time. When the shopkeeper checked the CCTV footage the theft came to notice.

According to the shopkeeper, Sanjay Kumar said that he has suffered a loss of eight and a half thousand.

The theft has been reported and a police complaint will be made in the matter.
