Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party was elected to power in Delhi, mainly on plank of free water & free electricity. As the party plans to expand its footprint, Kejriwal & fellow party managers has been making similar promises in other states.

He also said that the people of Gujarat are fed up with fed up with 27 years of BJP rule and wanted a change.

Kejriwal’s jibe at PM Modi’s rewari remark

While addressing the gathering, he also took a jibe at the ‘rewari’ remark by PM Modi and sought to turn the tables on Centre by firing a ‘revert swipe’.

“Some people are talking about ‘rewari’ (sweet)..when ‘rewari’ is distributed among the public for free, then it’s called ‘prasad’ (devotional offering). But when it is given for free to your own friends and ministers, then it is ‘paap’ (sin),” he said.

Kejriwal was replying to the PM Modi’s ‘Rewari’ remarks in which the latter asked the common people to stay alert and remain cautious of those practicing freebie politics.

Earlier, Kejriwal had said that free water, electricity, health care or primary education were not ‘Rewari’ but the responsibility of the state.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi while inauguration UP Expressway said that efforts were being made to bring in Rewari culture by promising freebies and there was a need to stop it as it could be ‘very dangerous’ for the development of country.
