New Delhi: It’s that time of year when all roads of the national capital lead to Pragati Maidan, for its magnificent & mammoth Trade fair that brings huge collection of crafts, artifacts and state-of-the-art products & goods under one roof.
The India International Trade Fair, this year, is set to kick off on November 14 and will see participation of more than 2,500 domestic as well as foreign exhibitors from across the globe including African & European countries.
The highlight of the 14-day long Trade fair 2022 is ‘Vocal for Local, Local for Global.’ With the government giving impetus on propagating & promoting local products in global markets, the Trade Fair 2022 will have a wide collection of locally made products, up for sale.
Like every year, the India International Trade Fair (IITF) 2022 is being organized at New Delhi’s Pragati Maidan from November 14–27, under the stewardship of India Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO).
About global participation in IITF
The 41st edition of IITF will feature products & goods from many countries including Canada, Mexico, Japan, Germany, France, Australia, Indonesia, China, Hong Kong, Afghanistan, Iran, Nepal, Malaysia, and Bangladesh. The coming together of industrialized nations gives local businesses, exposure about global products and also enhances competition.
This year, Bihar, Jharkhand and Maharashtra are partner states while Uttar Pradesh and Kerala are focus states.
Likely footfall in Trade Fair 2022
Every year, the Trade Fair is visited by lakhs of visitors and this year, it’s going to be no different. The expected footfall during 14 days is likely to be more than 10 lakh. This year, too, the days have been categorized as Business Days & General Days.
Nov 14 – 18 have been marked as Business Days under which limited people with passes can visit the Fair. General Days will extend from November 19-27 and this will see vast rush of people scrambling for an entry. The tickets will be available both for online & offline at selected Metro stations.
People can visit the Trade Fair from 10:00 am to 07:30 pm.
Facilities at IITF 2022
This year, various facilities have been added in the Trade Fair to make the experience comfortable & memorable for visitors of all age groups.
Reception centers/Information booths have been set up at various places in Pragati Maidan, where people can enquire about anything related to fair.
For the specially challenged & elderly people, wheelchair friendly areas have been set up. Ramps have been erected at all spots for making it accessible to all.
Restrooms set up at various places for public
Plethora of cuisines ranging from Indian to Conitnental are available at food stalls. People can get an exquisite taste of foreign food also.
How to Book Tickets
Before visiting the Trade fair, you should get yourself registered. You can visit official ITPO website – www.indiatradefair.com and get yourself registered.
Visitors can purchase their Trade Fair 2022 tickets online at domesticbooking.indiatradefair.com. For reaching the Pragati Maidan, the easiest mode of transport would be Delhi Metro. One can get down at closest Supreme Court Metro Station and then visit the Trade Fair. Personal vehicles are also an option but the traffic snarls may be a put off.
Ticket price
Business Days tickets are higher than the General Days, as earlier. Moreover, visiting the fair during weekdays will be cheaper than the weekend.
A Business Day ticket during the weekend or gazetted holidays will cost about Rs 500 while on General days, it will
be Rs 150. For children, the tickets are priced at Rs 60.
During non-weekend Business days, visitor will have to shell out Rs 500 while on General days, it will cost Rs 80. For children, they are priced at Rs 150 and 40 respectively.
The entry to Trade Fair will remain free for all senior citizens and specially abled people.
