New Delhi: An Indian Air Force MiG-21 fighter aircraft crashed near Hanumangarh in Rajasthan today (May 8, Monday). SP Sudhir Chaudhary said that two civilian women died and a man was injured after the plane crashed on their house in Bahlolnagar district. The aircraft which crashed today had taken off from Suratgarh during a routine training sortie. In July last year, Defence Ministry had informed that two pilots in a twin-seater Mig-21 trainer aircraft lost their lives after sustaining fatal injuries when it crashed near Barmer district of Rajasthan. A Cheetah helicopter had crashed near Arunachal Pradesh's Tawang area in October 5, 2022, leading to the death of one Indian Army pilot.
