New Delhi: In the latest development, the Ministry of External Affairs on Friday announced that it has decided to bear the medical expenses of Harjot Singh. Harjot is currently receiving treatment at a Kyiv hospital.
Harjot is one of the thousands of Indian students who are trying to escape from the worn-torn country, Ukraine. Singh said he and his friends were denied entry to board a train at Kyiv station for Lviv. Therefore, they decided to hire a cab to Lviv. However, many people started firing at their cab when they were on their way to Lviv after leaving Kyiv.
Meanwhile, one bullet shot at his shoulder, another entered at his chest, and multiple rounds of firing also fractured his leg, according to Singh.
